当今社会不平等和贫困加剧——基于对贫困本质的理解

This article argues that we should reconsider about the concept of poverty. The poor is not only about personal income and material conditions. We should pay attention on the poverty problem from the total aspects. The article mainly from three levels, namely, the individual level, the social level and the global level, re-examines the problem of poverty in capital society. Firstly, from the individual level, the problems of working environment of workers, labor intensity, living conditions, health status,
basic rights, etc, have not been effectively changed. Secondly, from the community level, as the development of capitalism, the environment and natural resources have been damaging. It has also brought housing, security, social and moral issues. Finally, from the global level, the development of capitalism has led into the escalation of conflict between countries, the international community divided, even lead into extremists’and terrorists’activities. Therefore, people's poverty is getting worse and worse day by day in the capitalist society, the inequality of the whole world is also intensifying. We should consider change capitalism, and more importantly, we should study its poverty from the overall perspective under the contemporary capitalism from now on.
