Top Planning and Future Development Trend of Economic Restructuring: Interview with Professor Cheng Enfu, Director of the Academic Division of Marxist Studies, CASS

Cheng Enfu, male, was born in Shanghai in 1950. He is one of the first batch of academicians of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), member of the presidium of Marxist academicians, Director of the Academic Division of Marxist Studies, Director of the Office for Marxist Theoretical Research and Construction and Head of the Key Discipline on Marxist fundamental theories. Concurrently he serves as Chairman of World Association for Political Economy, Chairman of China Research Association for Foreign Economic Theory and Chairman of China Research Association for Economic Law. And he is member of the Disciplinary Evaluation Group of the State Council, member of the panel for the National Social Science Fund and the Humanities and Social Sciences Fund of the Ministry of Education, Honorary Professor or Guest Professor of over ten universities at home and aboard, including St. Petersburg University. A representative to the 11th and 12th NPCs, he is entitled to the special government allowances of the State Council. He is professor and Ph.D supervisor of the Academy of Marxism, CASS. He has published over 400 articles in China Social Sciences, People’s Daily and Guangming Daily among other newspapers and journals at home and abroad, and more than 20 monographs. His works and speeches have been covered and quoted by various media and literature.
