Abstract

This thesis use non-parametric data envelopment analysis and Malmquist index method to calculate the TFP (Total factor productivity) and its decomposing index(Technical Efficiency Change, TEC and Technical Change, TO of every Chinese OFDI industries, and then make regression analysis with domestic R&D expense and foreign R&D expense of every OFDI industries. The following conclusions are drawn: OFDI has positive reverse technology spillover effect; the second industry has more robust effect than the third industry, and the effect on TFP of the second industry mainly derives from Technical Change but the positive effect of the third industry mainly comes from Technical Efficiency Change. Therefore, in order to improve the reverse technology spillover effect of OFDI, we should increase the foreign investment in high-tech industries, improve the technological absorption capacity of enterprises and promote the upgrading of the industrial structure in China.
