Abstract
The current development in East Asian Economic Zone is featured by the half-way economic integration, the sole-market reform and the loose in economic regulation in certain countries, the reduced ability in avoiding economic risks due to the drop of the scale of state-owned economy in many countries. Taking these features into consideration, this paper proposed the strategic choice for the economic transformation in East Asian Economic Zone. That is, a more integrated East Asian economy should be developed by strengthening economic cooperation among East Asian countries to resist US hegemony; emphasis should be put on both the government and the market in adjusting the economy so as to oppose to the “sole-market approach”; emphasis should also be put on state-owned economy to prevent over-monopoly of private capital in important fields.
