Abstract
Abstract : Many scholars argue about which theory , comparative advantage theory or competitive advantage , should
be applied to guide China in the participation in the international competition . In fact , each of these theories has its
limitation . This paper analyzes the defects of the two theories in the application in our nation by way of considering
the requirement of the intellectual economics and the two theories' application and development in China . Putting
forward that in order to increase the competitiveness of nations , the intellectual property advantage and strategy
should be cultivated in combination of the above -mentioned theories .
