Abstract
Indian economist Amartya Sen made profound criticism towards new liberalism， based on which he proposed human － centered concept of development． His new development concept overcomes the defects of previously one － sided pursuing of GDP growth， attaches importance to the needs of the people and makes the quality life as a development goal， and this concept draws Marx s thought on the free and comprehensive development of human being． This human － centered concept of development provides a beneficial enlightenment and reference to realize scientific development of our country in the new period．
