Abstract

An attempt has been made to highlight some important issues in order to examine the inclusiveness of growth during the era of neoliberalism in India. The approach to 12th five year plan of India titled "Faster, Sustainable and More Inclusive Growth" defines inclusive growth as: Inclusive growth should result in lower incidence of poverty, universal access to school education including skill and education, better opportunities for wage employment and livelihood, improvement in health outcomes, improvement in provision of basic amenities like water, electricity, roads, sanitation and housing. The study try to highlights that due to the defective policy measures India has remained unable to match the welfare measure to their GDP performance.
