Abstract

Ian Steedman has always paraded that he thinks highly of the decisive effect of condition of material production and real wage, but he did not take into account the condition of material production when establishing the physical relation equation. In fact, in the process of establishing the physical relation equation, combination of iron and labour was made by Ian Steedmanat's own will, which could produce any material indifferent quantity. The physical equation, which is listed according to product variety chose at will and product quantity selected wilfully, would be arbitrary, and it has no relation with the real economic activity. Because physical relation equation could be untenable, which value relation deduced by must be wrong. In Ian Steedman's model of value transformation, rate of profit has no definition, so what is called rate of profit is only a rate at which product is sold above its value, and it is completely irrelevant to Marxist profit rate. Researching Ian Steedman according to Marxist thought, labor value theory is the theory which is not unnecessary, and should not be abandoned, on the contrary, the analysis of Ian Steedman further counselled people as a negative example: It is imminent to get a deeper comprehension to Marxist labor value theory.
