With the gradual evolution from commercial capitalism to industrial capitalism and then to financial capitalism，the capitalist economic crisis and its interpretation has also changed. Serious theoretical disputes have always existed concerning the types of capitalist economic crisis and their relationship，and the generation mechanism of various crises and their impacts. Future Marxist theory of crisis must improve its analysis of the “intermediate link" under the premise of contradictions between productive forces and relations of production. It must scientilically explain how the“technological structure" and“social structure" and their evolution have deepened the contradictions of capital accumulation and led to different types of capitalist crisis,thus providing a rational explanation of how capitalism achieve development through crises while in the meantime gradually move towards its“collapse.”
